The past few weeks have been filled with gifts at our house. Between Christmas and both my daughter's and my birthdays, we've opened many presents. There have been fun gifts- like games. Others were exactly what was asked for- like my new blender for my Advocare shakes. And others have been surprise gifts- like the one that brought tears of joy to her eyes. But some- like the wrong sized boots- slightly missed the mark.
Like a wrapped present the new year sits before us; we don't know what's inside. We open it with hopeful expectations that we'll find the perfect gift for us. Will it hold something wonderful or will it disappoint?
No matter what 2013 has in store for you, rest assured that you don't face it alone. The God of all creation knows your every moment for He is there with you. He rejoices in your triumphs and carries you in your trials.
My prayer for you is that in 2013 God will pour out blessings upon you, fulfilling dreams and providing abundance. But should the gift at first disappoint, may you always trust the good that He will bring from it.
